Algonquin Provincial Park is one of Canada's oldest and largest parks. Its 3,000 square miles of dense woodland with 2,000 crystal clear lakes and rushing rivers make it a camping paradise of world renown. This is Tamakwa's neighborhood, and every camper gets to explore it.

Canoe tripping is the essence of the Tamakwa experience -- fostering challenge, adventure and teamwork. Cabin group trips leave camp every morning, returning anywhere from one to thirteen days later to a warm homecoming. It becomes the milestone of their summer and a memory for a lifetime.

In Algonquin, the call of the loon or the sight of a lone moose foraging along the shoreline are part of everyday life. This is the setting for our program of outdoor adventure. The Ropes course, Trail-biking, Fishing, and Naturelore all give a child a sense of achievement and resourcefullness...a feeling that is distinctly "Tamakwa".
